Independent Bridal Wear Boutique Launches Own Collection and New Store in Cambridge

An independent boutique which champions contemporary bridal wear has now launched its own label collection featuring unique bridal garments and accessories. The debut collection launches alongside the brand’s new store opening, based in the centre of Cambridge.

The Pantry Bridalwear was founded in 2019 with its original store based in Saffron Walden, with the goal of championing the best British, independent design in the bridal wear industry, such as Rita Colson and Bon Bridé.

After three years of trading in Saffron Walden, the brand has now opened a new 300 square foot store in Cambridge City Centre at 19 Market Hill where customers will be able to browse pieces from both The Pantry Bridalwear and its sister brand The Pantry Underwear.

The brand has also launched it’s new own label collection ‘The Originals’, which consists of 31 pieces that are designed and manufactured responsibly in the UK, offering brides an array of contemporary items to wear on their big day such as jackets, skirts, tops and dresses. Each item from the ‘Originals’ collection is made to measure, ensuring every item is as unique as each bride wearing them.

Speaking of the new collection, Founder and Designer Eloise Rigby says: “We wanted to ensure that the collection contained items that filled a gap in the existing bridal market by offering pieces that are distinctive in style and design.”

“Brides will be able to choose from unique designs in order to feel that their own personal style is being represented on their day. We’ve hand selected unusual but beautiful details for our pieces, such as textured fabrics like organza and honeycomb waffle, or added details such as raw hems and pockets.”

Alongside clothing, the collection also includes 15 accessories that are created from the waste fabric produced during the making of the main items in the collection, giving brides the opportunity to discover additional products that represent their unique style and the option to elevate their on-the-day look.

At The Pantry Bridalwear’s new store in Cambridge City Centre, customers will be able to book a free appointment to try on different wedding looks, with no restrictions on the amount of products a bride can try. In the appointment – which lasts 1 hour 15 minutes – customers are allowed to bring up to 3 other people, all of whom will be served light refreshments including fizz.

The Pantry Bridalwear has also considered the lifespan of its pieces by offering a post-wedding alteration service to its customers, encouraging longevity and future wear of a bride’s chosen outfit beyond their wedding day. Depending upon the alterations, costs can range between £150 and £450 and take between 2-6 weeks.

The Cambridge location also houses the brand’s sister store which is located on the upper floor: The Pantry Underwear. Here, the Pantry team is able to help brides of all shapes and sizes (A-K cups / 8-22 dress sizes) find the best bridal solution for their dress or outfit.

Prices of the ‘Originals’ collection range between £42 and £1,780, with all pieces available to browse in-store at 19 Market Hill, Cambridge CB2 3NR.
