Good Astrologers, a new UK-founded international directory for professional astrologers, has launched with the aim of making it easier for people to find an astrologer who is right for them. Rather than simply presenting visitors with a list of practitioners, the directory is being built around the information people actually need when choosing an astrologer. Visitors can explore astrologers according to factors such as the life questions they work with, their approach to astrology, astrological traditions and techniques, languages, location and whether consultations are available online. The directory initially focuses on the UK, United States, Canada and Australia, with further international markets planned.
“Finding an astrologer can be surprisingly difficult,” said Luke Dee, founder of Good Astrologers. “There are many practitioners online, but it is often hard to understand how they differ, what kind of astrology they practise or whether their approach is likely to suit you. “Good Astrologers is designed to make those differences clearer and help people make a more informed choice.”
Practitioner profiles are designed to provide more context than a conventional directory listing. Depending on the information supplied by the astrologer, profiles can include their biography, approach to readings, professional experience, qualifications, professional associations, astrological traditions, techniques, the life questions they work with, languages, consultation formats, services and pricing.
The website also publishes independent guides to help people understand different forms of astrology, prepare for readings and know what to look for when choosing a professional astrologer.
Good Astrologers is also developing clear standards around practitioner information, verification and reviews. The aim is to distinguish between information supplied by astrologers, information checked by the directory and opinions expressed through client reviews. Membership does not buy higher search rankings, featured placement or editorial recommendations.
Professional astrologers can currently join the directory free while the platform builds its initial membership. When commercial membership begins, the planned price is £5 per month in the UK and $6 per month in the United States, with equivalent local pricing in Canada and Australia. Astrologers who join during the launch period will be contacted before paid membership begins and will not be automatically moved onto a paid subscription. The low-cost membership model is intended to make the directory accessible to independent professional astrologers while allowing Good Astrologers to build an international resource for people looking for astrology consultations.
