Haldiram’s is expanding its portfolio of traditional Indian sweets with the launch of Coconut Burfi, a new product, alongside a limited-edition Modak assortment created for Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.

Developed to meet growing demand for authentic global flavours and premium confectionery, the launches combine traditional Indian recipes with high-quality ingredients and strong shelf appeal, offering retailers new opportunities across everyday indulgence, gifting and seasonal occasions.

“We’re seeing growing demand for authentic sweets with strong flavour credentials and cultural heritage. Coconut Burfi and our seasonal Modak range give an exciting new addition for every day and festive occasions.” Says Rhea Agarwal, Commercial Director UK & Europe, Haldiram’s.

Made with coconut and milk, Coconut Burfi delivers a tropical flavour balanced by the richness of traditional dairy ingredients. Its distinctive pink appearance sets it apart within the category, making it particularly suited to gifting, celebrations and consumers looking to discover new flavour experiences.

The launch builds on the growing popularity of coconut across confectionery and dessert categories, while staying true to the craftsmanship and authenticity that have defined Haldiram’s sweets for generations.

Alongside Coconut Burfi, Haldiram’s is introducing a limited-edition Modak assortment to coincide with Ganesh Chaturthi (14th September), one of the most significant festivals in the Hindu calendar. Traditionally associated with Lord Ganesha, Modak remains an important part of celebrations and is widely regarded as one of the festival’s most iconic sweets.

Available for a limited time, the assortment features three varieties:

  • Kaju Modak made with premium cashew nuts and delicately flavoured with rose water
  • Coconut Modak made with coconut and milk for a rich, creamy texture and fresh coconut taste
  • Motichoor Modak inspired by the traditional Motichoor Ladoo and flavoured with saffron, rose water and cardamom

Combining traditional recipes with premium ingredients, the collection has been developed to help consumers celebrate the festival with an authentic selection of classic flavours in a convenient gifting format.

Coconut Burfi is available through selected retail channels and online, and the limited-edition Modak assortment will be available throughout the Ganesh Chaturthi season.
