String Furniture display at Old Sessions House
At Clerkenwell Design Week 2026, String Furniture showcases a selection of its new 2026 launches as well as core collections – the iconic String System in a new Dark Oak & Brown colourway, Pira, its floor-to-ceiling height shelving system, along with its new Display Cabinet and Center Center by Form Us With Love, a modular system for modern office design. The brand will also showcase an exclusive preview of the new Museum Trolley and Pedestal by TAF Studio to the UK design audience.
Bo Hellberg, CMO at Scandinavian design icon String Furniture shares, “String Furniture has always been driven by the belief that good design is instantly recognisable, has an ingenious construction, makes a real difference to people’s lives – and is ideally made in Sweden! We’re thrilled to be exhibiting at Clerkenwell Design Week for the second time. We’ll be showcasing parts of our range that we think represent our beliefs well, like the new String System in Dark Oak & Brown, Pira, originally from 1954, Centre Centre by FUWL and Museum by TAF Studio. All of them with timeless designs that cater to the evolving needs of modern spaces, both in the workplace and at home.”
MUSEUM TROLLEY & PEDESTAL
Exclusive UK preview ahead of its launch in June 2026
Officially launching in June 2026, String Furniture unveils new editions to its iconic Museum Collection – the Museum Trolley and Pedestal. Designed by the Stockholm-based design and architecture practice, TAF Studio, the Trolley and Pedestal continue the distinctly functional design and solid build that runs through the entire Museum Collection, seamlessly pairing flexibility with a refined Scandinavian aesthetic.
Founded by Gabriella Lenke and Mattias Ståhlbom, TAF Studio designed the original Museum Collection for Sweden’s National Museum of Fine Arts, which reopened in 2018. The Museum Shelf was the first piece of this longstanding collection, which has now expanded to include five editions – the Museum Shelf, Sidetable, Candle Holder, Trolley and Pedestal.
NEW: STRING SYSTEM IN DARK OAK & BROWN
Originally designed in 1949 by Kajsa and Nisse Strinning, the String System is an icon in Scandinavian design. With its minimalist form, flexible function, and elegant simplicity, it fits into any home and space, while offering an almost infinite variety. In 2026, String Furniture introduces a refined material and colour to its iconic String System and Pocket: Dark Oak paired with Dark Brown panels. This warm, sophisticated palette offers an elegant, timeless expression that reflects the brand’s design heritage.
CENTER CENTER
Designed by Stockholm-based architectural studio Form Us With Love, for String Furniture, Center Center is designed for today’s dynamic workspaces. A versatile modular system of individual modules, Center Center serves as a flexible modular storage solution for offices. With its minimalist design and adaptable form, Center Center perfectly balances aesthetics with functionality.
NEW PIRA DISPLAY CABINET WITH SLIDING DOORS
At Clerkenwell Design Week 2026, String Furniture will showcase Pira alongside its latest accessory – the Display Cabinet. A contemporary interpretation of the original 1950s design by Olle Pira, Pira was reimagined by architect Anna von Schewen and industrial designer Björn Dahlström as a sculptural, freestanding room divider that marries architectural design with functional elegance.
Enhancing the system’s refined expression, the Display Cabinet includes a glass shelf and offers either double-sided or single-sided sliding doors, adaptable for free-standing or wall-mounted configurations. Available in White Oak or Walnut, it can be specified with fluted or clear glass.
