Viking Bags, a manufacturer of motorcycle luggage and aftermarket parts, has expanded its ADV touring lineup with the Apex XL Aluminum Luggage System. The series pairs a 38L top case with 45L side cases, both built around a quick-disconnect bracket that allows riders to detach or reinstall the cases without tools.
The quick-disconnect mount sits at the core of the design. A model-specific bracket stays fixed to the bike at all times. The cases lock onto it when needed and slide off just as fast, returning the motorcycle to its stock profile for daily riding or storage. Viking Bags currently lists the Apex XL aluminum top case for over a dozen ADV platforms, covering a wide span of mid-size and large-displacement bikes.
The 38L Apex XL Top Case measures 16″ × 13.5″ × 13″ and holds up to 2,300 cubic inches of gear, enough for a full-face helmet. The 45L side cases measure 19.3″ × 9″ × 14.6″ and offer a combined 2,746 cubic inches of storage across the pair, with each case rated for up to 22 lbs. Both are built from reinforced aluminum with precision welding and self-piercing rivets for a fully waterproof seal. Fiberglass caps on the corners guard against impact during tight turns and rough off-road sections.
Each case includes a key-lockable lid and bracket, four tie-down points on the lid for securing extra gear, stainless steel hinges, carry handles, and an internal organizer. A pair of LED lights and a solar power bank are also included with each case. The Apex XL hard side cases are offered in silver and black finishes.
