In an increasingly busy, screen-focused world, children and teens rarely get the chance to slow down, connect, and truly use their imagination. This March 2026, The Courtyard Playhouse invites children aged 4 to 14 to step away from screens and into the world of theatre, storytelling, and creative play through its Spring Camps.
At The Courtyard Playhouse, the emphasis is on confidence, creativity, and self-expression, giving children the freedom to explore, make mistakes, and build real-world skills in a supportive and welcoming theatre setting.
Inspired by much-loved books and stories, each camp immerses participants in drama games, improvisation, movement, and imaginative storytelling, guided by experienced instructors who are passionate about nurturing confidence, creativity, and self-expression in every child.
Mini Storytellers (Ages 4-7)
Using storytelling and imaginative play inspired by carefully chosen picture books, younger children explore how their choices affect others, what it means to be kind and responsible, and how even small actions can help look after the world around them.

Junior Actors (Ages 8-11)
Working from the bold independence of Matilda and the playful unpredictability of The 13-Storey Treehouse, children investigate confidence, resilience and creative problem-solving while learning to collaborate, take initiative and trust their own ideas.

Young Performers (Ages 12-14)
Through the epic journeys and moral complexity of The Hobbit and Wicked, teens explore courage, belonging and perspective, questioning how stories change depending on who gets to tell them and how identity is shaped by choice, power and empathy.

Designed for all experience levels, this camp offers a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where young performers can express themselves freely, collaborate with others, and have fun while growing in confidence both on and off the stage.
