Specialist commercial cleaning company, The Clean Space, has appointed Stefano Cabras as Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect, as founder Charlie Mowat moves from CEO to Chairman.
Stefano joined The Clean Space as Finance Director 15 years ago and has served as Managing Director for the past six years. In his new role, he will take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of the business, overseeing its operations, continued growth and long-term development.
During his time with the company, Stefano has played a central role in its growth into a national commercial cleaning business employing approximately 1,800 people, generating annual revenues of around £40 million and delivering services across more than 1,000 client sites.
A chartered accountant, Stefano has helped to strengthen The Clean Space’s financial, operational and strategic capabilities. He has also been closely involved in the company’s acquisition programme, which has seen it complete around 15 acquisitions to date alongside continued organic growth.
His appointment reflects the continued development of The Clean Space’s senior leadership structure as the business enters its next phase.
As Chairman, Charlie will remain involved in the strategic direction and wider development of the company, working closely with Stefano, the board and the senior leadership team.
