Mirai RiskTech (“Mirai”), a risk technology company specializing in integrated asset and liability management (ALM) and balance sheet management, has closed a €5 million funding round with Spanish investment firm Inveready. The capital will accelerate Mirai’s growth across Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States and the Middle East, strengthen its presence in core markets such as Spain, and fund continued development of its AI-driven balance sheet management platform for banks.
The investment comes as treasury and ALM teams operate amid faster markets, intensifying regulatory expectations and compressed timelines. Many institutions still run treasury, ALM, risk and finance on fragmented systems, with inconsistent methodologies and modeling processes that were not built for today’s speed or complexity. That fragmentation slows decisions, makes stress testing heavier and leaves the balance sheet harder to steer when conditions shift. In response, banks are moving toward integrated platforms that bring transparency, consistency and performance together.
Built on a single data model, Mirai’s platform integrates modeling, data and reporting, bringing interest rate risk in the banking book (IRRBB), liquidity, funds transfer pricing (FTP) and regulatory reporting into one framework. The approach consolidates functions historically run on separate systems, giving finance and risk teams a consistent cross-metric view of the same numbers. Its cloud-native architecture enables banks to keep pace with fast-changing markets, reducing the lag between a change in conditions and a balance sheet decision.
Part of the funding will advance Mirai AI, the company’s artificial intelligence product line, which combines generative AI and deep learning to help banks steer the balance sheet faster. Mirai AI Modeling lets clients build and operationalize behavioral models from years of historical data, applying statistical and machine learning techniques directly inside production workflows. The models recalibrate continuously as conditions change. Mirai AI Agent brings expert-level knowledge of ALM, liquidity risk and banking regulation into daily work, guiding teams through balance sheet analysis and generating insights in natural language with full traceability.
“Banks have historically managed treasury, ALM, risk and finance on separate systems, which makes it harder for a chief financial officer and a chief risk officer to work from the same numbers,” said Olmo Vázquez, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Mirai. “The aim is to give them a single, governed source of truth, with artificial intelligence built into the core of the platform rather than added on top. This investment lets us bring that approach to more institutions internationally.”
“This investment reflects our conviction in teams building category-defining technology for high-value, highly regulated segments,” said Gerardo Redondo, director at Inveready. “Mirai combines deep risk and ALM expertise with an AI platform that closes a real gap for banks navigating an increasingly complex regulatory environment. At Inveready, we look forward to supporting Mirai’s international growth.”
