The Aberdeen Kings Church, Staff, residents, relatives and the local community came together at Fairview House to enjoy a community BBQ that was held in the home’s grounds on Wednesday 7th August.

The hospitality team at Fairview House served a selection of BBQ favourites including delicious cheese burgers, hot dogs, French fries, a range of fresh salads and a selection of refreshing beverages which were enjoyed by everyone who came to the event.

Guests included friends and family to the residents and staff at the home, and members of this NHS.

Our residents were serenaded by the Kings Church choir with a fabulous selection of gospel favourite hymns.

Resident, Ethel, said, “I thoroughly enjoyed the day surrounded by lots of great people. Thankfully the weather held out until we finished, which Aberdeen is a blessing in itself. The Kings Church choir and members were delightful.”

Mark Hurst, Operations Manager at the home, said: “Staff at Fairview House are dedicated to making sure that the home is a hub of the local community, and this event, alongside the Kings Church, has definitely paid off. It was a resounding success!”
