This Valentine’s week, The Courtyard Playhouse invites audiences to experience love in its most fragile, fun, and defining form with FIRST KISS, an intimate improvised theatre special event running for three nights only.
FIRST KISS explores how one small moment can set an entire life in motion. Drawing inspiration from real audience stories, performers create spontaneous, emotionally rich narratives that unfold across years; shaped by timing, chance, regret, and the choices we make when love is on the line.
For many, the show is less about romance as fantasy and more about romance as something deeply human. Tender without being sentimental and funny without losing depth, FIRST KISS reflects the quiet truths of connection: the moments we return to, replay, and wonder about long after they’ve passed.
“A first kiss can feel insignificant or life-changing, and often it’s only later that we realise which one it was. This show lives in that space.” – says Marie, the Manager of Courtyard Playhouse and also one of the performers in the improv show.
