Derbion returns as Ramathon’s title sponsor for 2023

East Midlands’ leading retail and leisure destination, Derbion, has announced that it will be joining forces with Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All as the title sponsor of Ramathon for the second year running.

Each year, the Ramathon and RAM 5 Mile attract thousands of runners looking to raise tens of thousands of pounds and make a real difference for their chosen charities. As the oldest and biggest road run of its kind in Derbyshire, the much-anticipated event promises a lively atmosphere for all.

With an exciting new route for 2023, both the half marathon and five-mile courses will start and finish in Iron Gate, before taking runners through the city centre. The Ramathon will then see runners make their way through Elvaston Castle then travel back via Alvaston Park, through Pride Park and then back into the centre centre for the big finish.

Returning for 2023, the Derbion Ramathon Team Challenge will see teams of colleagues, running buddies and friends battle it out to be crowned champions. Open to teams of four or more, each team must take on the full half marathon distance to be in with a chance of being crowned the fastest team of 2023.

Adam Tamsett, centre director of Derbion, said: “We’re extremely proud to be supporting the Ramathon 2023 and to be the title sponsor of one of the East Midlands’ biggest charity road runs, which raises tens of thousands of pounds each year for local good causes.

Some of the Derbion team took part in last year’s event so we know first-hand how fantastic the atmosphere on race day is – we’re really looking forward to experiencing it all again and seeing runners at the start line in June!”

Siobhan Curtis, Communications and Marketing Director at Run For All, said: “It’s fantastic to have the support of Derbion again this year as we look forward to the return of the events this June.

Together we will look to engage people from across the City and beyond to take on the challenge and pull on their trainers to join us for either the half marathon of 5 mile.

With two distances on offer again this year, this really is a great example of a  run ‘for all’ and with the Derbion Team Challenge groups and companies can also get involved and enjoy a bit of friendly competition.”

Those wanting to take part in the RAM 5 Mile must be 15 years or over to enter, or 17 years or older to take part in the Ramathon half marathon.
