Today breast cancer charity the Pink Ribbon Foundation officially opened a brand new caravan they have funded in Whitley Bay offering 48-week long holidays a year to families affected by breast cancer. The caravan has been named “Eve & Philip’s Place” in memory of Eve Morrison, a prodigious supporter of the Pink Ribbon Foundation, and her husband who always joined her on holiday.
Located at Whitley Bay Caravan Park, the 8-berth static caravan was masterminded and created by the team at Something To Look Forward To, a cancer charity that aims to improve the lives of families affected by cancer and cancer poverty across the UK.
Long time collaborators, the Pink Ribbon Foundation have been supporting Something To Look Forward To since 2016. They launched their first holiday caravan together at Manor Park Holiday Park in Hunstanton, Norfolk in 2022. That caravan was also part funded by Eve Morrison, who left a donation in her will for the purpose of helping the causes she believed in.
Joining Lisa Allen of the Pink Ribbon Foundation to officially open the new Eve’s Place Caravan in Whitley Bay Caravan Park, was Eve Morrison’s family.

We know that Something To Look Forward To makes a huge difference to many lives touched by cancer. It’s amazing that so many families will enjoy a caravan holiday in this beautiful part of the UK”.
The Pink Ribbon Foundation is a grant making trust with a mission to fund projects and provide financial support to UK charities which relieve the needs of people who are suffering from or have been affected by breast cancer. As as charity, Something To Look Forward To provides ‘gifts’ and ‘experiences’ that have been donated by individuals and businesses to families who are struggling financially and emotionally.
The Pink Ribbon Foundation funding will allow ‘Something To Look Forward To’ to provide 48 families of up to 8 people affected by breast cancer with free weeklong holidays in Whitley Bay each year, reaching 384 people in total annually.

This new holiday home means we can offer even more families affected by breast cancer the chance to take a much-needed break from the challenges of treatment and recovery. We chose this location as we have a lack of donated respite provision in the North of England so we can now extend our reach and offer families affected by breast cancer the chance to rest, recharge, and make precious memories away from the shadow of breast cancer.”
The official opening of the caravan took place on Tuesday 15th July at Whitley Bay Caravan Park in Northumberland. The caravan is open for application from people affected by breast cancer from point of diagnosis up to one year after their last active treatment or major surgery.
