Press Release

UNITED KINGDOM - May 29, 2026

Bellway Homes’ sales launch at its Simpson Park development in Harworth and Bircotes at the weekend (May 23rd) proved to be a huge success with a flurry of eager visitors, some early bird plot bids and two customers already in negotiations over Part Exchange and Express Mover deals to secure the first homes on the development.

Being built off the town’s Brinsley Way, the 138-home home development features a mix of energy efficient three- and four-bedroom properties, which will be the first Bellway homes in Yorkshire to benefit from air source heat pumps.

The launch prices range from £224,995 for a three-bedroom, semi-detached Tailor to £324,995 for a four-bedroom detached Mercer Life.

Melanie Smith, Bellway Yorkshire’s sales director, said: “There’s always a lot of excitement in the build up to a new development and it was great to see this translated into a steady stream of visitors and early bird reservations on the opening weekend.”

Bellway’s Simpson Park development forms part of the wider Harworth Group’s development of the same name, which when complete will feature up to 1,200-homes, a new school and a family pub.

The homes it’s building will feature a mix of house types from The Bellway Collection, which showcases the best in contemporary home design, while also celebrating the artisan traditions at the heart of Bellway’s rich heritage. And, as with all new Bellway homes, the new homes in Harworth and Bircotes will be built to first-rate specifications; including energy saving features and modern specification such as solar PV panels, EV car chargers, under floor heating and the air source heat pumps – all of which help to make a new home more energy efficient.

Meanwhile, as part of its commitment to the local community, Bellway will be investing well over £300,000 in education projects in Harworth and has predicted it will create close to 20 jobs during construction.

“Simpson Park as a whole is an area invigorating development, which has already started to change the face of the entire town – bringing with it new people, new jobs and new money,” added Melanie.

“It’s already putting the town in the mix as a place to call home for those currently living outside of the area as its commuter links are exceptional – and we’re looking forward to cementing that reputation and creating a whole new community.
