Apany (apany.co.uk), a UK start up focused on sale or return consignments, has opened dealer sign ups ahead of accepting seller listings in October. The platform connects private vehicle owners with vetted dealers who manage the sale from start to finish, giving sellers a managed route to market and dealers a new way to source stock without tying up capital.
Ainan Ali, founder and director of Apany, said: “Independent dealers tell us they want more quality stock without cash exposure, plus control over what they retail and how they retail it. Apany is designed around those needs. We are inviting dealers to join now as founding partners so they can help shape the platform and be ready when sellers start listing in October.”
Dealers create a profile, then browse matched submissions from private sellers with essential details such as photos, mileage, MOT status, service history, location and the seller desired payout. Dealers submit a proposal with their retail price, the payout offered to the seller and any included services such as collection, preparation or photography.
Once the seller accepts a proposal, the dealer arranges the handover, completes any agreed preparation, takes professional photos and lists the vehicle across sales channels. The dealer manages enquiries and viewings, completes the sale and pays the seller according to the agreed terms, retaining the agreed margin.
Ali added: “Sale or return gives dealers a practical alternative to auctions and part exchange, while sellers get a transparent, professional experience. Our aim is to make the process clear, fair and simple for everyone involved.”
The first phase focuses on dealer onboarding and priority matching. Seller listings open in October, at which point the first wave of submissions will be offered to registered dealers.
Early registration and a directory listing are free in the pre launch phase. Platform fees apply only when a vehicle is sold and start from £149 (VAT not applicable). There are no long term commitments for founding dealers.
