Abu Bakr Supermarket is celebrating the third anniversary of its popular Turkish Patisserie in Hyde Park, marking three years of serving authentic Turkish pastries, desserts and traditional breakfasts to customers from across Leeds and beyond.
Located adjacent to Abu Bakr Supermarket’s Hyde Park store on Queen’s Road, the Turkish Patisserie has become a destination in its own right, earning a loyal following for its freshly baked baklava, börek, cakes, Turkish tea and coffee, and traditional breakfast platters. The venue has helped introduce thousands of customers to authentic Turkish hospitality while complementing the supermarket’s long-standing reputation for quality food and community service.
Since opening in 2023, the family-friendly café has welcomed students, local residents and visitors from across Yorkshire, becoming a vibrant meeting place in one of Leeds’ most diverse neighbourhoods. Its success reflects the growing demand for authentic international food experiences and forms part of Abu Bakr Supermarket’s wider investment in expanding its food and hospitality offering across the region.
To mark the milestone, the Turkish Patisserie will celebrate with customers throughout the anniversary period, thanking the local community for its continued support over the past three years.
Hamza Hussain, Managing Director of Abu Bakr Supermarket, said: “Reaching our third anniversary is a fantastic milestone and one that we’re incredibly proud of. From day one, our vision was to create more than just a patisserie – we wanted to bring a genuine taste of Türkiye to Leeds and create a welcoming space where people could come together over great food and warm hospitality.
“The support we’ve received from the Hyde Park community and customers across Yorkshire has been overwhelming, and we’d like to thank everyone who has been part of our journey. As we continue to grow, we’re committed to investing in experiences that celebrate culture, quality and community.”
The anniversary comes during an exciting period for Abu Bakr Supermarket as the Leeds-based family business continues to invest in its retail and hospitality portfolio, strengthening its presence across West Yorkshire while remaining committed to serving local communities.
