This December, Hart Shoreditch will open its doors to showcase a vibrant, festive, art installation titled ‘Celebration’ to commemorate the hotel’s fifth anniversary. Working once again with the hotel’s local artist in residence James Daw, the installation will use recycled materials to challenge the concepts of the traditional Christmas tree and seasonal decorations. What’s more, Hart Shoreditch will be hosting a festive mosaic making workshop with artist Natalie Kent on 7th December, offering guests and locals alike the chance to discover their inner creativity whilst creating beautiful mosaic decorations. Art Installation ‘Celebration’ – 4th December onwards, throughout the festive period
To create a sense of celebration for Hart Shoreditch’s fifth birthday coinciding with the festive season, London-based artist and illustrator James Daw returns to the hotel to curate an enchanting art installation. Taking inspiration from the vibrant 1980s Memphis Design Group, and the hotel’s link to Dubai, James’ creation will challenge the concepts of the traditional Christmas tree and seasonal decorations. Using mostly repurposed, recycled, and sustainable materials, this art installation will immerse viewers into a surprising party of colour and design. James will also incorporate his signature stop motion animation, employing the wrap-around digital screens in Hart Shoreditch’s Hotel Lounge to create an immersive experience for viewers.
Festive Workshop with Natalie Kent – 7th December
Mosaic artist Natalie Kent will be hosting a Mosaic Making Workshop at Hart Shoreditch this December, perfect for beginners and enthusiasts alike. Attendees will learn the art of mosaic-making, crafting stunning festive decorations such as trees, stars, puddings and baubles. With a variety of colourful, glittery tiles available, the workshop allows participants to create unique pieces that promise to bring holiday cheer to the home, perfect for festive gifting. A cool 2 hours and 15 minutes will be spent designing the decorations with plenty of guidance from Natalie, followed by 45 minutes dedicated to grouting. By the end, guests will take home their handmade decorations as well as a new skill. The ideal way to get into the holiday spirit.

Five Years of Hart Shoreditch
Hart Shoreditch will commemorate an extraordinary journey of growth and achievement this year, five years since the hotel first opened its doors. “This occasion isn’t just a date on the calendar, it’s a celebration of our collective successes and the incredible growth of our brand. The hotel first opened in December 2019 but was shortly forced to close due to the COVID-19 pandemic, eventually reopening in August 2020. In the face of the challenges created during this period and beyond, Hart Shoreditch has thrived, achieving impressive commercial success while staying true to its brand values. The hotels’ dedicated team has been instrumental in curating experiences that leave a lasting impact, welcoming guests and locals alike and creating a real community hub in London’s East End. “This anniversary is a testament to all we’ve accomplished together, and I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate it” Lina concluded.
