Viking Bags has added the Iron Born Diamond Stitch 2-Up Seat to its growing line of motorcycle seats, offering a step-up seat option built for long-distance riding on popular cruiser platforms. The seat is available for most American cruiser bikes, including Harley Softail Street Bob, Softail Standard, Low Rider S, Sportsters, Dynas, as well as Indian Chief and Indian Scout models.
The Iron Born seat is constructed with PVC leather on the outer shell and a PU foam core that uses gel padding. On Harley fitments, the seat comes with two gel pads, one for the rider and one for the passenger. Indian Scout and Chief versions include a single gel pad for the rider. The step-up design places the passenger slightly elevated behind the rider, while the rider section tapers toward the tank to maintain leg reach and control.
Dimensions for the Street Bob version measure 30 inches in length, 10.5 inches wide at the front, and 6.5 inches wide at the rear. The seat includes mounting hardware and is rated for easy installation with a hard-mount setup. The outer PVC leather is weather-resistant, addressing a practical concern for riders who leave their bikes exposed to varying road conditions.
The diamond-stitch pattern on the seat’s surface is a styling element long associated with custom cruiser builds, and its inclusion here adds a visual detail. Rider lower-back support is built into the seat’s shape, a feature that becomes relevant on highway stretches where posture tends to shift.
For riders building out a Harley Softail Street Bob, the Viking Iron Born seat represents a direct bolt-on option that addresses seating comfort without custom fabrication. The same design is also available for Indian Chief models from 2022 onward, keeping the fitment current with newer model years.
