Viking Bags has added more Harley-Davidson and Indian models to the fitment list for its Iron Born Diamond-Stitched 2-Up Gel Seat. The move gives a wider group of cruiser riders access to a seat built with gel-infused foam and a step-up two-passenger layout, without the cost of full custom upholstery work.
The new fitment range spans three Harley-Davidson families. On the Softail side, models such as the Low Rider S FXLRS, Street Bob FXBB, and Sport Glide FLSB are now covered. Dyna riders can find a fit for the Fat Bob FXDF, Wide Glide FXDWG, and Street Bob FXDB, among others. The Sportster range also includes models like the Forty-Eight XL1200X, Iron 883 XL883N, and Roadster XL1200CX.
For Indian riders, the Iron Born seat now covers Indian Scout Bobber variants from 2018 to 2024, which include the Scout Bobber Sixty, Scout Bobber Twenty, Scout Rogue, and Scout Rogue Sixty. Chief owners with 2022 and later models, including the Chief Bobber, Chief Dark Horse, and Sport Chief RT, also fall within the updated fitment range.
One detail worth noting: Harley fitments include gel pads for both the rider and the rear passenger, while Indian Scout and Chief versions ship with a single gel pad sized for the rider’s seat. Both setups use weather-resistant PVC leather on the outside and include a hard-mount kit in the box, making the swap manageable for most home mechanics.
The Iron Born seat’s diamond-stitch finish has built a following among cruiser riders who want a club-style look without a full custom build. The step-up design also places the rider in a lower seat position while the rear passenger sits slightly higher, a layout that suits two-up riding on longer routes where lower-back strain tends to add up.
