Vanguard Self Storage is proud to celebrate a season of generosity, community spirit, and remarkable fundraising, having raised £4,182 and supported multiple charitable initiatives across its branches this Christmas. From local activities to UK-wide campaigns, Vanguard teams have been spreading festive cheer while reinforcing the company’s commitment to giving back and supporting meaningful causes beyond storage.

The festive period began with Vanguard Storage Bath helping to brighten Christmas for young people in CAMHS wards across the UK by supporting the volunteer charity Christmas For CAMHS. The team provided a free storage unit, accepted donations on-site, and assisted with transport, helping more than 1,500 gifts get ready for distribution.

This was followed by the annual installation of Vanguard’s giant Father Christmas on the roof of its West London storage branch, bringing smiles to the local community and signalling the start of the festive season.

Across all Vanguard branches, staff and visitors took part in Christmas Jumper Day in support of Save the Children. Donations were collected via text and PDQ machines, with Head Office matching every pound donated, which doubled the impact and brought the total to £348.

Vanguard’s Salford self storage branch also hosted its much-anticipated Christmas Raffle in support of the MND Association. The raffle was made possible through the generosity of tenants and contractors, who donated an outstanding 56 prizes, including a laptop, AirPods, a 55” 4K television, gift vouchers, gym membership, drinks, and seasonal treats. With Head Office once again matching the total raised, the raffle contributed an impressive £3,834 to the charity.

Ben Thilthorpe, Head of Operations for Vanguard Storage, said: “Over the course of the year, we have undertaken many charitable initiatives, from sponsored bike rides to supporting The King’s Trust, but in the run-up to Christmas, we are very proud of our teams and customers who have come together to make the festive season better for others.”

Vanguard Self Storage would like to thank everyone who contributed, donated, and took part in making this year’s initiatives such a success.
