Two Magpies, renowned for its handmade sourdough bread and beautiful pastries, can now add Best Cafe to its list of accolades after Aldeburgh’s bakery and cafe was awarded the title in a top business awards.
The independently-owned café and bakery group won ‘Best Cafe in Suffolk’ at the regional qualifying stage of the Englands Business Awards and will now go through to the annual Grand Final Awards later in the year.
“Receiving an award for Best Cafe is a great achievement for our Aldeburgh cafe,” says Two Magpies’ Operations Director, Yasmin Wyatt. “We have seven stores across the region and each has its own personality and style, which matches the unique locations across Suffolk and Norfolk. All our teams work extremely hard, but it is wonderful to see the individual locations recognised.”
Yasmin adds that “Emma Turnbull, General Manager of Aldeburgh runs a friendly and dedicated team where each member works very hard to not only offer a wide selection of delicious treats, but also to deliver the very best customer service. We have a fantastic prime location on Aldeburgh High Street and love the relationships we have built with locals and visitors alike. It is wonderful to be nominated by the public for ‘Best Cafe’.”
Since opening its first cafe in Southwold in 2013, Two Magpies now owns seven bakery cafes across Suffolk and Norfolk as well as a central bakery and Bakeschool in Darsham. No stranger to the limelight in the last ten years, Two Magpies Bakery Group also proudly holds Regional Winner of the National Bakery Awards 2020, and Best Independent Retailer 2020.
Two Magpies Bakery in Aldeburgh is open 8am-5pm, 7 days a week and offers a selection of freshly-baked sourdough bread, morning pastries, savouries and sweet treats. Offering a full menu for dining in and take away, there is even a special Mini Magpies menu for children.
