Tri-Tronics Company, Inc. will showcase its latest elevator door protection technology, including the 3D Fusion System, at the 2026 NAEC Convention & Exposition in Chicago, September 28 through October 1. The event will bring together elevator contractors, manufacturers, suppliers and other industry professionals at McCormick Place for four days of education, networking and industry technology. Tri-Tronics will be located at Booth #558, where attendees can see the company’s elevator door protection solutions and speak directly with members of the Elevator Division.
3D Fusion Takes Center Stage A key focus of the Tri-Tronics display will be the 3D Fusion System, which combines a 2D light curtain with a 3D Time-of-Flight sensor to provide an additional layer of detection around elevator doors. The system is designed to detect passengers, carts, packages and other objects within the detection zone while distinguishing between approaching, crossing and stationary objects. This allows the elevator door system to respond based on the activity taking place around the entrance. Designed for new installations and modernization projects, the 3D Fusion System complies with ASME A17.1-2019 / CSA B44-19 and is designed for center-parting and side-parting elevator doors. “NAEC is always a great opportunity to get in front of the people who work with these products every day,” said Cam Gough, Elevator Division Manager at Tri-Tronics. “We’re looking forward to showing the 3D Fusion System in person and having conversations about where this technology can fit into today’s elevator applications.”
Tri-Tronics Elevator Door Protection Solutions Along with 3D Fusion, Tri-Tronics will display additional elevator door protection products at Booth #558, including InvisiGuard™ and LEADINGEDGE®. InvisiGuard is a slim-line elevator edge designed for both modern and older elevator installations. Features include a universal 20 to 265 Vac/Vdc power supply, Health Monitoring System and EN 81-70 compliance. The LEADINGEDGE family provides elevator door protection for a variety of environments, with standard, waterproof and vandal-resistant configurations available. The systems feature rugged construction, flexible installation options and designs intended for demanding elevator applications. The products on display reflect Tri-Tronics’ long-standing focus on elevator door protection and its continued development of sensing technology for the industry.
Connecting With the Elevator Industry Tri-Tronics will use the convention as an opportunity to connect with contractors, suppliers and other elevator professionals throughout the exposition. In addition to Cam Gough and the Tri-Tronics team, Chip Nobil of Motion AI and Jason Spezzaferra will be present at the booth. Both have experience with Tri-Tronics elevator products and will be available to speak with attendees.
Education and Continuing Education Opportunities The NAEC Convention & Exposition will also feature a broad educational program covering elevator safety, codes, technology, installation and service. Attendees can earn continuing education credits for CET, CAT and QEI certifications, as well as credits applicable to certain state licensing requirements. Sessions during the convention will cover topics including ASME A17 / CSA B44 requirements, elevator safety, door-related callbacks, evolving elevator technology, door lock monitoring and new developments in the industry.
