Two Magpies Bakery is continuing its expansion plans with its latest ‘Mini Magpies’ site set to open in the beautiful seaside town of Wells-Next-The-Sea in May.
The bakery and cafe group, which already has eight sites across Suffolk and Norfolk, and two Mini Magpies outlets in Southwold and Beccles, will open its new site on 15th May on the quay front in the heart of Wells. This will be the third small-format Mini Magpies outlet, aimed at serving more takeaway customers.
Renowned for its delicious homemade bread and hand-laminated pastries, bakeries, the latest in Mini Magpies will boast 20 covers available for dining in, and will offer an extensive range of takeaway baked goods for those looking for something to enjoy on the go.
“We are excited to be opening our doors in Wells, just in time for the summer trade. We have developed a strong identity in towns and villages across East Anglia and can’t wait to be part of this bustling coastal town. We have received great feedback for our first Mini Magpies, which opened at the beginning of the year, and we are thrilled to be bringing our latest to Wells-Next-The-Sea,” comments Yasmin Wyatt, Operations Director at Two Magpies.
“Our Mini Magpies sites deliver all the same great customer service and delicious bakes, hand-laminated pastries, sourdough bread and coffee, but the focus is placed more on items that can be eaten on the go, which lends itself perfectly for tourist hotspots such as Wells. We’re looking forward to a busy summer,” adds Yasmin.
Since opening in Southwold in 2013, Two Magpies has established a central bakery and baking school in Darsham, as well as cafes in Aldeburgh, Norwich, Blakeney, Holt, Woodbridge and Beccles across Norfolk and Suffolk.
The new site at Wells-Next-The-Sea will open on 15th May, 8am to 5pm, 7 days a week and will focus largely on takeaway sales, with a small seating area for up to 20 covers.
