The Finding Papa Movie follows two sisters on an extraordinary quest to discover their father’s final resting place, uncovering hidden truths along the way. The film blends true crime, spiritual inquiry, forensic science, and personal storytelling into a transformative and moving cinematic experience.
The LBLFF International Documentary Jury praised The Finding Papa Movie “for its ability to alternate emotional involvement and external observation, giving life to an intimate and original narrative. The journey of the protagonists develops with a compelling rhythm, in which science and the supernatural are harmoniously intertwined, offering an intense and engaging story.”
Director Julianne Eggold also received the Best Director award “for her ability to naturally mix different visual languages, alternating reportage, blogs and interviews in an authentic and original narrative. The direction, free from formalism, gives rhythm and liveliness to the story, enhancing every aspect of the story with creative and engaging expressive choices.”
