ServiceSport UK Goes from Strength to Strength Following Investment in High-Tech Solutions

ServiceSport UK, the leading service and repair provider for commercial gym equipment, has invested in new technology to provide one of the fastest repair services in the country.

The company, which has been a longstanding Bolton Wanderers FC Associate Partner, has an impressive range of technology, including a CNC machine and a number of industrial 3D printers.

The investment in technology means ServiceSport UK can provide its clients with custom solutions within days, speeding up the time it takes to repair gym equipment and offering an effective supply of 3D printed products and components for businesses outside of the fitness industry.

The company has introduced a range of 3D printers which means it can supply gyms across the UK with bespoke parts, extending the life of the equipment and reducing the cost of repair.

Speaking of the investment, Michael Ellis, commercial director commented,

“We understand the frustration that can arise as a result of a breakdown in the supply chain. 3D printing allows ServiceSport UK to reduce those lead times and hold stock of specific pieces of gym equipment parts without the need to rely on the manufacturer. All parts are tested to ensure they meet the same standards as the original so our clients can extend the life of their equipment and generate a greater return on their investment.”

ServiceSport UK’s team of field service engineers cover the length and breadth of the country, maintaining gym equipment for operators such as the MOD, Nuffield Health, Bannatyne Health Clubs, JD Gyms, Marriott Hotels, Village Hotels, schools, universities, sports clubs, and independent gyms.

They also service and repair thousands of pieces of gym equipment from the world’s leading manufacturers such as Technogym, Life Fitness, Precor, Pulse, Concept2, Wattbike and Matrix.

The Chorley-based organisation became a Bolton Wanderers Associate Partner two years ago, in order to broaden its reach through the power of live sport.

The company has used the Associate Partnership to great effect, promoting its specialist upholstery repairs, bespoke parts services, and electronic repairs.

With years of experience in the fitness industry, ServiceSport UK is led by a board of directors that are passionate and committed to delivering an exceptional level of service to gyms regardless of location. They are Europe’s biggest parts supplier with more than 50,000 gym equipment parts in stock across multiple brands.

Prolonging the life of gym equipment, which is prevalent in ServiceSport’s offering in the market, allows gym operators to reduce costs by removing the need to buy new gym equipment and therefore focus on other areas of their business.
