Zuzanna Goebel from Partou Kids Corner Day Nursery and Pre-school in Sandbach has been named Deputy Nursery Manager of the Year at the National NMT Nursery Awards 2025.
In the view of the judges, Zuzanna “has provided transformational leadership following a challenging period, demonstrating resilience, practical leadership and strong Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) practice.”
In their adjudication, they declared: “Her hands-on approach and ability to build staff confidence and morale through clear direction, reflective practice and a calm, consistent presence, make her a worthy winner.”
Zuzanna received her trophy from well-known TV personality Tom Allen at an evening ceremony in London.
Set in a large, converted Victorian building half a mile from Sandbach town centre, Partou Kids Corner was rated ‘Good’ in all areas of activity by Ofsted following an inspection earlier this year.
Commenting on her achievement, Zuzanna said: “I am overwhelmed and so happy to have received the award.
“Although my name is on the award, I genuinely believe winning the award was a team effort. The whole team pulled together during a tough period, and we are now better than we have ever been.
“We have a strong team and only want to push forwards.
“This award is for everyone at Kids Corner because I couldn’t have done it without them!”
Tyler Burgess, Partou Kids Corner Nursery Manager, said: “Zuzanna’s dedication shines through in every aspect of her work.
“She knows every child in the nursery, understands their individual needs, and works closely with the team to ensure they receive the best possible support.
“Her expertise in SEND has been recognised by Ofsted and visiting schoolteachers, with effective plans in place to prepare children for their next steps.
“We could not be prouder of Zuzanna, she is the most deserving winner.”
Samantha Rhodes, Partou Managing Director, added: “Zuzanna has played a pivotal role in transforming Kids Corner.
“During a period of instability, she helped to provide consistency, reassurance and a strong sense of purpose.
“Working alongside Tyler and other senior Partou colleagues, Zuzanna’s commitment to improvement has helped to create a positive, stable environment for children and team members.
“We are delighted that her efforts have been recognised by winning this prestigious national award.”
