Heaven’s Angels Academy has officially opened its new child development center in Westside Long Beach, expanding access to licensed early childhood education for local families and bringing much-needed childcare capacity to an underserved area of the city.
The new facility, located at 2272 Pacific Avenue, is capable of serving up to 50 additional children from birth through age five. The center represents the next chapter for founder Crystal Stringer, who launched Heaven’s Angels Academy in 2019 as a home-based daycare program. Through years of growth, community trust, and consistent demand, the Academy has expanded into a purpose-built center designed to support more families while maintaining its commitment to personalized care and early childhood development.
The Academy serves children through five developmental stages, including infants, young toddlers, toddlers, preschool, and pre-kindergarten. Each classroom follows a structured, play-based curriculum designed to support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development through age-appropriate learning experiences.
“This building is the fulfillment of a dream,” said founder Crystal Stringer. “It represents every family who trusted us, every child who grew with us, and every challenge we overcame to get here.”
The opening comes at a time when many families continue to face limited childcare options. By increasing local childcare capacity, Heaven’s Angels Academy aims to help more parents access quality early education close to home while supporting children’s readiness for future academic success.
Stringer, who has a background in nursing, has built the Academy around a philosophy of family partnership, emphasizing communication, trust, and active parental engagement. The center’s approach combines structured learning with a nurturing environment that supports both children and their families.
To celebrate the opening, Heaven’s Angels Academy will host a free community Grand Opening Carnival on Saturday, June 27, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Community members are invited to tour the facility, meet the teaching team, enjoy family-friendly activities, and learn more about enrollment opportunities for Fall 2026.
