The recognition of Gogetop Marketing and its co-founder as finalists in two categories at a national awards event highlights the visibility that digital agencies and entrepreneurs can achieve within the UK’s competitive small business sector. While such accolades are routine milestones for many growing firms, they often provide a platform for businesses to showcase their expertise to both clients and peers, particularly in specialist areas such as cross-border marketing.

For agencies operating between the UK and international markets, particularly China, these shortlists may offer added value by signalling credibility in navigating complex digital ecosystems. As the awards process moves to its final stage, the announcement serves as a reminder of the ongoing demand for skills that bridge different digital and cultural environments, especially as digital marketing continues to evolve beyond traditional channels.

Press Release

LONDON, UK - August 24, 2026

Gogetop Marketing and its Co-Founder and Director, Yingqi Zhu, have been named finalists in two categories at The UK Small Business Awards 2026, with both entries representing London.

Gogetop Marketing has been shortlisted for Best Digital Marketing Agency, while Zhu has separately been selected as a finalist for Female Entrepreneur of the Year.

The UK Small Business Awards recognises small businesses and entrepreneurs from across the country. According to the organiser, applications undergo an official review before qualifying for finalist status, with successful finalists progressing to the final judging stage.

The awards organisation says its judging panel is made up of industry professionals with at least 10 years of hands-on experience in their respective fields. Finalists are also encouraged to share their recognition publicly through official finalist packs and media materials.

For Gogetop Marketing, the two shortlistings recognise both the development of the agency and the leadership behind its international growth.

The London-based business specialises in cross-border marketing and communications, supporting organisations operating between the UK, China and wider international markets. Its work spans digital strategy, social media, websites, public relations, search marketing and emerging areas including AI search visibility.

“Being recognised in both categories is particularly meaningful because the two nominations reflect different parts of the same journey,” said Ms Yingqi (Ann) Zhu, MCIM, GCDF, Co-Founder and Director of Gogetop Marketing.

“Building across markets requires more than translating a campaign from one language to another. Businesses need to understand how audiences search, communicate and make decisions in different digital environments. Our focus has always been on connecting those differences into a clearer international growth strategy.”

Gogetop Marketing has developed its cross-border model around the differences between global and Chinese digital ecosystems. International brands entering China may need to work across platforms such as RedNote, WeChat and Chinese search alongside global channels including Google, LinkedIn and other international media platforms.

The dual finalist recognition comes as digital marketing continues to broaden beyond conventional websites and social media. Search, public relations, social discovery and AI-generated answers increasingly overlap in the way businesses are found and evaluated online, creating new challenges for companies operating across multiple markets.

The UK Small Business Awards 2026 annual event is scheduled to take place at The Eastside Rooms in Birmingham on 19 December 2026, where finalists from across the UK will be celebrated. Attendance is optional, with the organiser also providing a free livestream of the event.

Zhu added: “We are grateful to our team, clients and partners who have contributed to the work behind these finalist recognitions. Reaching the final is an encouraging milestone, and we are looking forward to the next stage.”
