A boutique Oxford-based hotel has appointed Fortitude Communications on a retained basis to deliver high-impact video production and PR services.
Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House Hotel has partnered with Fortitude to help build brand awareness, with a strong focus on its regional market.
The 77-bedroom hotel, located in three-acres of private gardens in tranquil Iffley village, just ten minutes from the city of Oxford, has undergone an exquisite £3.5M refurbishment. The interior design is inspired by the classic Oxford brogue and Oxford shirt.
Fortitude has been appointed to design and deliver an integrated communications strategy with a core focus on professional video content and PR. It will produce regular creative video reels for the hotel’s social media platforms and longer films for its website, alongside strategic media relations activity.
Nick Jefford, general manager at Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House Hotel, said: “The hotel is stunning and is one of Oxford’s best kept secrets. Following our beautiful refurbishment, it is the right time to raise the bar on our marketing, PR and local engagement to help drive brand awareness and connections in our community and beyond.
“Fortitude stood out for us, thanks to its blended service approach, understanding of our brand and the brief and its excellent track-record, creativity and contacts. We’re looking forward to working with the team and enhancing awareness of everything the hotel has to offer guests.”
Greig Box Turnbull, director at Fortitude said: “Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House Hotel is an exceptional venue that we’re proud to represent. It’s an exciting creative brief and highlights a growing demand from clients to deliver a combined solution uniting producing fast, regular video content for socials with hero films and traditional PR. This modern, integrated approach will help ensure the hotel develops its brand awareness, engagement and ultimately its volume of bookings.”
Fortitude was founded by Greig Box Turnbull, who is a former Oxford United managing director and Daily Mirror journalist. Based on Oxford Business Park it has clients across a range of sectors including leisure, corporate and sport.
