Simply Wigs of Slaithwaite, Huddersfield, a renowned local retailer of wigs and hairpieces, were delighted to receive the coveted ‘Small Business of the Year’ award at this year’s Excellence in Business Awards. This was a highly-competitive category, with 69 entries submitted, but the judges ultimately decided that Simply Wigs was a worthy winner thanks to all they do to help their customers.
The Excellence in Business Awards is a yearly event hosted by The Yorkshire Post. This year’s event was held on November 23rd at a glamorous black-tie event in Leeds. Over 400 people attended Headingley Stadium to celebrate the 16 award-winners from a wide range of industries.
Having so many incredible local businesses represented and recognised for their achievements made the occasion truly momentous.
Although owners Stuart and Emma were sadly unable to attend the event in person, Simply Wigs was well represented by three key team members: Customer Service manager Becca, Office manager Hazel and Warehouse manager Rebecca accepted the award on their behalf. The team is very close-knit and was ‘extremely honoured and proud to initially be shortlisted for this category’, and ‘blown away to achieve this amazing award’.
In response to the award, owner Emma Garrard has shared her absolute pride in her team, saying, “Our main priority as always is to passionately help, guide, and assist our customers with their hair loss concerns. This award will take pride of place on our mantelpiece and in our hearts forever.”
