Bournemouth-based Holt Recruitment Group has completed another epic charity endurance challenge, raising over £7,044 for local families charity Home-Start Wessex.

Home-Start Wessex offers friendship, practical support and emotional advice to parents in Dorset with at least one child under 5 when they are in crisis, providing specialist groups and one-to-one home visits.

Teams from across the business took on the wilderness-themed ‘Anything but an Ordinary 100 Miles’ endurance challenge designed to test teamwork, navigation, resilience and determination. On the day, each team was dropped at a random, undisclosed location before being tasked with making their way on foot to a designated finish point.

The event marked Holt Recruitment’s latest annual fundraising challenge, continuing a proud tradition of giving back through bold and demanding initiatives. Previous events have included climbing the equivalent height of Everest, completing a 24-hour boxing challenge, rowing the distance around the UK, cycling the equivalent of the Tour de France, and running 1.1 miles every hour for 24 hours.

Karen, Head of Holt Recruitment Group, said: “Everyone really got behind this year’s challenge, and we’re incredibly pleased to have raised £7,044 for Home-Start Wessex. It was a tough day, with a few unexpected turns along the way, but seeing all four teams reach the finish made it worthwhile. We’re proud to continue supporting a charity that does so much for families in our local community.”
