MKSK Consulting has introduced FormulaX, an AI tool designed to generate, explain, and validate Oracle Fast Formulas, significantly reducing the time and technical expertise needed for formula development in Oracle Cloud HCM. This tool allows functional consultants to create formulas that previously required technical developers, cutting development time by 60 to 80 per cent and easing bottlenecks in payroll, absence, and compensation rule processing. FormulaX is part of MKSK's X Cloud Platform and aims to streamline workflow for Oracle Cloud HCM organisations and their delivery partners.

EDITORIAL INSIGHT: Context, industry insight and market perspectives of this news story

FormulaX’s launch addresses a persistent operational pinch point for Oracle Cloud HCM delivery partners. By automating the generation of Fast Formulas, a long-standing source of delay and specialist dependency in system deployments, the tool aims to shift a technical bottleneck into a more manageable and scalable process. This is a practical development for consultancies and partners who routinely face resource constraints during large-scale HR and payroll implementations.

For project teams, the ability to move formula creation into the hands of functional consultants could reduce both delivery times and reliance on scarce technical skills, potentially lowering costs and improving project margins. With automation increasingly adopted across enterprise software delivery, FormulaX arrives at a time when partners are under pressure to deliver faster and more reliably, making efficiency gains in this area particularly relevant for ongoing and future Oracle Cloud HCM projects.

OXFORD, UK - October 20, 2026

Ask an Oracle Cloud HCM delivery lead where the plan quietly slips, and Fast Formulas will come up early. Not the workshops, not the data migration. The formulas: dozens of business rules that each need a specialist to write, a developer to build, and a testing cycle to prove.

FormulaX, from MKSK Consulting, was built to clear that queue. It is the first AI Fast Formula generator, created by MKSK to generate, explain and validate Oracle Fast Formulas. In demonstrations with consultancy teams, functional consultants produced formulas that previously required technical developers, and formula development time fell by 60 to 80 per cent, with turnaround cut from days to hours.

For partners, the economics are plain. Formula work is specialist, repetitive and hard to staff. A small number of technical leads become a bottleneck for every payroll, absence and compensation rule on the programme. When those people are busy, functional work waits. When formulas are rushed, defects arrive in testing and rework eats margin.

FormulaX changes the shape of the work. A consultant describes the rule in plain English. The tool asks about timing, effective dates and exceptions, then generates the formula with a documented structure, an explanation of the logic, validation of syntax and result variables, and test cases. Reviewed formulas can be kept in a managed library, with versioning and change history, and reused across projects instead of being reinvented on each one.

The coverage matches delivery reality: Payroll, Absence and Eligibility, Benefits, Workforce Compensation, Validation, and Custom Business Rules. Typical first wins are overtime and shift premiums, absence accruals and eligibility, and bonus and commission rules. Complex logic is in scope too, including multi year lookbacks and eligibility gates based on assignment attributes.

Mohammed Khan, Director, Oracle Division at MKSK Consulting, said: “Partners feel the formula problem as programme risk. The rules are known, the deadline is fixed, and the few people who can write the logic are already committed. FormulaX lets the functional team do the first build properly, so the specialists review instead of queue.”

FormulaX is part of the MKSK X Cloud Platform, alongside ScheduleX for Oracle Cloud HCM, and is available to Oracle Cloud HCM organisations and the partners who deliver their systems. Demonstrations use your own logic: bring one Fast Formula you would normally hand to a developer. https://www.mksk.co.uk/services/ai-fast-formula-generator/ or [email protected].
