Independent logistics and warehouse services provider Europa Worldwide Group (EWG) is set to accelerate its UK and international growth following an eight-figure funding package from HSBC UK.

Headquarted in Kent, the company provides international freight and logistics services and will use the investment to support further expansion across its four core areas: Europa Road, Europa Air and Sea, Europa Warehouse and Frictionless Trade Services (FTS). This includes strengthening its European road network, expanding its international air and sea freight services, enhancing customs capabilities and supporting continued investment in UK warehousing, technology and people to meet rising demand from importers and exporters.

In addition, HSBC UK’s international banking capabilities will help drive continued operational efficiencies across the Group’s portfolio which includes sites in Belgium, the Netherlands, China, Hong Kong, India and the UAE. The business anticipates a 10 per cent increase in turnover in 2 years as a result of the funding.
