A Master Certified Coach, neuroscience expert and best selling author, who swapped a senior leadership career in education to build a business around her kids, is celebrating her online talk show climbing into the top 2% of podcasts worldwide, as listeners in 54 countries tune in to listen to her advice on becoming a coach and how to tap into the power of our minds to create better outcomes for ourselves.
Exploring the science behind how our brains work, and how we can harness our mindset to create happier, less stressed and more successful lives, Ruth Kudzi, Coaching Psychologist, founder of coach training school Optimus Coach Academy and author of best selling book How to Feel Better, relaunched her podcast The Coaching Hub at the start of this year. She transformed it from the traditional podcast format she had run since 2022 into a dynamic video talk show, now airing on YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
Her success comes as the global appetite for coaching reaches record levels. The International Coaching Federation’s 2025 Global Coaching Study reveals the coaching industry now generates 5.34 billion US dollars a year, up 17% since 2023 and the strongest period of growth in the study’s history, with a record 122,974 coach practitioners now working worldwide.
The Coaching Hub has now passed 80,000 downloads, holds a coveted top 2% ranking among podcasts globally on Listen Notes, and has seen downloads surge 184% in the last 90 days, with the UK, USA and China topping its list of 54 listening nations, with the most popular topics being around her coaching predictions for the industry in 2026 and how AI will affect the industry.
“When I launched The Coaching Hub in 2022 it was a place to share the conversations I was already having every day, about coaching, psychology and how our brains really work,” says Ruth, a mum of two who is based in London. “Relaunching it as a video talk show this year felt like a big commitment, but the response has blown me away. Hitting the top 2% of podcasts in the world tells me something important: people are hungry for evidence based conversations about mindset, wellbeing and success, not quick fixes.”
With over 10,000 coaching hours, an ICF Master Certified Coach accreditation held since 2020, and more than 30 years of studying psychology, Ruth has trained thousands of coaches through Optimus Coach Academy and now leads a global team of 15, but her path here was anything but straightforward.
A former deputy headteacher who felt suffocated by her career in education, Ruth is the student as well as the teacher. Growing up around alcoholism and battling her own dependencies, being diagnosed with PTSD following a tragic accident, and recently receiving an ADHD diagnosis, she has had to tap into the power of reprogramming her own thoughts and mindset to avoid spiralling, and it is this lived experience, combined with the science, that she brings to every episode.
Each week on The Coaching Hub, Ruth and her guests explore the principles of neuroplasticity, growth mindset and coaching psychology, with the show’s most popular episodes tackling coaching models, industry trends and predictions, and big questions such as:
- What if coaching wasn’t only about goals?
- What does neuroscience really tell us about changing our habits and behaviour?
- How is AI changing the coaching industry, and can it ever replace human connection?
- Why are traditional coaching models being questioned, and what should coaches use instead?
- How can business owners protect their wellbeing while chasing ambitious goals?
Ruth’s mission with the show is simple: to help more people understand that where they are in life now isn’t where they have to stay.
“I stand for joy, happiness, success, wellbeing and impact,” she says. “I have navigated some really dark chapters in my own life, and the thing that changed everything for me was understanding my own brain. Through The Coaching Hub I want to hand those tools to as many people as possible, so they can be less stressed, achieve more of their goals, and do it all in a more joyful way, whether that’s in their personal life, their business or their career.”
The Coaching Hub is available now on YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
