EnAppSys expands into German and Hungarian markets

A fast-growing Teesside firm renowned for its valuable insights on the energy market has continued its ambitious international expansion plans by entering new markets in Germany and Hungary.

Stockton-on-Tees-based EnAppSys already operates across several European markets, including Belgium, France, the Netherlands and Ireland, and is also well-established in the UK.

After recently revealing that it was eyeing up more European markets, the award-winning company has now signed a lease on a new office in Dusseldorf, Germany, and established a presence in Central Eastern Europe with the appointment of Hungary-based Gábor Szatmári. The move follows the recent appointment of a market analyst in Paris, which has further strengthened EnAppSys’ presence in the French market.

These developments are part of EnAppSys’ ambitious European expansion plans, which will see the firm triple headcount to more than 100 in the next couple of years. The company, which was launched in 2003 by director Phil Hewitt, currently has almost 30 staff working from its headquarters in Stockton-on-Tees.

Phil Hewitt said: “We’ve been around for almost 20 years and in the last couple of years we’ve really stepped up our expansion plans. Our recent rapid growth has seen us gain traction in various European markets, secure a raft of new customers, and recruit key members of staff who will take us into our next phase of growth.

“We’re looking to expand further across Europe but we’ll continue to do so from our Teesside roots. Our strong links with local universities and research institutions has enabled us to hire several talented professionals who have underpinned our recent expansion in the UK and overseas.”

Established in 2003, EnAppSys is a highly respected provider of data, consultancy and information services to companies in the energy and power generation markets.
