An unspoilt Spanish paradise is the latest destination added to Solmar’s growing list of stunning holidays.
Costa Calida – the warm coast – is an authentically Spanish part of the Murcia province on the south-eastern Mediterranean coast. It boasts gently sloping beaches, warm sea waters, quaint towns and villages and an abundance of bars and restaurants.
Solmar Villa Holidays has added 29 villas in Costa Calida to its portfolio in time for the 2023 season – 23 in the iconic La Manga Club resort and a further six in the Mar Menor Golf resort, which is home to an 18-hole golf course designed by former champion Jack Nicklaus.
It is the latest destination added to the Solmar family, with the Amalfi Coast, Kos, Ibiza and the Ionian Coast also launched since late 2022.

The iconic La Manga Club is a favoured training base of tennis aces, golf pros and top footballers whilst The Mar Menor Golf Resort is designed to challenge golfers of all skill levels. With some of Solmar’s villas in prime spots overlooking the course, visitors can live and breathe golfing all week long.
There are also historic sites to visit across the area, including in Cartagena, Lorca and Murcia, while shopaholics should head to Murcia city for the best bargains. Aguilas, Los Alcazares, Santiago de la Ribera and Torre Pacheco are perfect for families, and the area boasts three water parks at Aguilas, Cartagena and Murcia city.

Solmar was started by Julie’s parents when they bought their own villa in the 1980s, and the Burton-based business has now grown to offer 1500+ villas across Europe and the Mediterranean. It has added 540 villas to its portfolio since late 2022.
