Press Release

London, UK - December 2025

This December, alongside nourishing breakfasts, more than 1,250 children across 25 Magic Breakfast schools will receive festively wrapped Colour Your Streets colouring books and pencils. Designed around their local area with familiar streets and landmarks, the colouring books will create a mindful morning – sparking creativity and celebrating the places they call home.

This partnership is facilitated by Arch Insurance International as part of its Breakfast Bookstars charity programme with Magic Breakfast and the National Literacy Trust which aims to tackle educational inequality in the UK.

This partnership celebrates the creation of an environment where children can truly thrive — offering not only a nourishing meal to fuel learning, but also a joyful, creative moment that helps them feel included, connected, and ready to embrace the day ahead. Jeremy Weil, co‑founder and chief executive of Colour Your Streets, said:

“We’re so proud to be working with Magic Breakfast to bring colour, creativity, and local pride to children across the country. Every child deserves a nourishing start to their day — and we hope these books help pupils begin their mornings with imagination and joy, rooting them where they live, as they eat a delicious breakfast.”

Emily Wilkie, Director of Fundraising & Development at Magic Breakfast, said:

“At Magic Breakfast, we know that mornings matter. Our breakfast clubs are about more than providing a nourishing breakfast; they create calm, routine, and a sense of belonging. By teaming up with Colour Your Streets, we can add another layer of joy, giving children the chance to connect creatively with their local area while starting the day nourished, empowered, and ready to thrive. We’re grateful to Arch Insurance for helping make this possible.”

The initiative has been made possible through the generous support of Arch Insurance International, whose team has also helped wrap each book to make the experience feel festive and personal during the holiday season.

About Magic Breakfast

Magic Breakfast is a registered charity dedicated to championing and providing nourishing school breakfasts to help children and young people learn and thrive. We support primary, secondary, ASN/SEND schools, and pupil referral units across England and Scotland. A daily, school breakfast helps pupils feel included, equal, and focused. Alongside on‑the‑ground support, Magic Breakfast drives long‑term change through research, campaigning, and advocacy. We work with policymakers and partners to end morning hunger for good and deliver a future where every child is nourished, empowered, and included.

About Colour Your Streets

Co-founded in 2023 by husband and wife team, the entrepreneur Jeremy Weil and the broadcaster Emma Barnett, their inspiration was their son who was interested in their local area and no such book existed. Now they are on a mission to fill the world with colour, help people connect to their local areas and share memories about the places, things and people who matter to them in a screen-free and mindful way.
