PortaSauna, the fast-growing British company behind the UK’s first truly portable wood-fired sauna tent, has been nominated for the prestigious “Innovative Outdoor Living & Wellness Product of the Year” at the 2025 UK Pool & Spa Awards.
Founded in early 2024, PortaSauna has quickly made waves in the wellness and leisure space, offering a unique products that provides a traditional wood fired sauna experiance with the accessability in both price and space combined with a quality product that is ideal for anyones garden. Its flagship HEX and HEXXL models have been embraced by a wide range of customers; from cold-water swimmers and professional athletes to public lidos and outdoor wellness retreats.
The UK Pool & Spa Awards, now in their 15th year, recognise excellence across the wet leisure sector, including innovation in product design, sustainability, and customer experience. PortaSauna was nominated by its national distributor, Golden Coast, and has earned praise for making authentic sauna culture more accessible across the UK.
“We built PortaSauna around the simple idea that sauna should be something you can enjoy on your terms — in your garden, by the sea, or wherever life takes you,” said Jordan Boon, Founder and Managing Director. “To be recognised in this way, among such an inspiring group of finalists, means a great deal to our team and our growing community.”
The nomination reflects growing interest in portable wellness solutions that prioritise both functionality and user experience. PortaSauna’s tents are designed for rapid set-up, with a 10-minute assembly time and a 20-minute heat-up window. Each model features a triple-insulated, weather-resistant design and a handcrafted wood-burning stove enabling traditional sauna sessions in almost any outdoor setting.
The recognition comes after a strong first year of trading. Since launching in January 2024, PortaSauna has established a presence in over 30 retail stores across the UK, including pool and spa retailers, fitness centres, and outdoor lifestyle outlets. The brand has also expanded into Europe and looking towards the USA with new partners.
PortaSauna is part of a growing trend toward year-round, outdoor wellness experiences. In addition to individual customers, the company supplies saunas for private hire, public events, recovery groups, and wellness retreats. Notably, its products have been adopted by organisations such as Petersfield Open Air Pool and the Recovery Swimming Club, a UK-based community group supporting mental health through cold water immersion and sauna use.
Voting for the UK Pool & Spa Awards is now open to the public and industry professionals. Winners will be announced at a ceremony later this year.
