Paramount Hospitality Management (PHM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ricardo Merchant as General Manager of Wyndham I-Drive Avanti Resort & Conference Center. With a distinguished career in the hospitality industry, Merchant will be instrumental in driving new initiatives to elevate the guest experience and operational excellence at the resort.
Merchant brings to his new role more than 20 years of extensive experience in the hospitality industry, serving in various leadership positions including most recently as General Manager of Avanti International Resort on International Drive in Orlando.
With a strong background in hotel management, guest relations, and operational strategy, he has developed his expertise over years of committed service, including participation in new property openings and renovation projects. Drawing from his rich life experiences, Merchant has cultivated an empathetic and resilient leadership approach that shines through in how he interacts with guests and guides his team.
The resort is part of PHM’s diverse collection of Orlando properties, which also includes Avanti International Resort, The Point Hotel & Suites, and Floridays Resort Orlando. Together, these hotels offer a combined total of 1,976 guestrooms and more than 25,680 square feet of flexible meeting and event space.
