Set in a toxic, post-apocalyptic Earth, Violent Heart follows a man who, haunted by fragmented memories of his late wife, is forced out of hiding to confront the brutal reality outside after a violent raid on his underground refuge. Driven by vengeance, he battles both physical threats and his own mind in a story that mirrors modern themes of grief, memory, and survival. The film is a bold testament to no-budget filmmaking, achieving a gritty realism through practical effects and handheld cinematography, reminiscent of Children of Men and The Road, while drawing on the psychological intensity of Stalker.
Crowdfunding to Complete the Vision
Duane Frey and the Bad Radical team have launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise $11,500 for essential post-production costs, including editing, color grading, and sound design.
