Recently; Nexim Healthcare invited media, political representatives and other community VIPS to their upcoming launch event happening on Kenilworth on August 15th. Today, they announce the exciting participation of Emmanuel Jal, and a rare opportunity to see the “Suubi Kids” perform.
The afternoon’s event will also feature a unique performance by the Suubi kids – the Suubi Fusion Troupe supported by NIDO, presenting beautifully choreographed musical, dance and theatrical performances that wow every audience that’s lucky enough to see them.
Emmanuel Jal, once a child soldier in Southern Sudan, has transformed his harrowing experiences into a powerful force for global peace and human rights advocacy. Jal’s journey and his subsequent achievements as a recording artist and activist resonate with Nexim Healthcare’s commitment to healing, community support, and empowerment.
Jal articulates this synergy in his own words: “Music is the only thing that can enter your system, your mind, your heart, without your permission. It’s a powerful form of healing and education that contributes to a global, positive awakening.” His message underscores the importance of integrated care approaches, which is a cornerstone of Nexim’s mission to provide comprehensive healthcare services.
“Jal’s presence at our launch symbolizes our shared dedication to fostering resilience and wellness in communities, emphasizing that recovery from trauma is possible with the right support and resources,” Nexim executives said today.
It’s why Nexim is providing space for these powerful performances at their launch to both entertain and to engage the community in focusing on important initiatives both locally and internationally. A considerable portion of profits go to NIDO (Nexim International Development Org), also founded by Nexim’s visionary leader.
On a different note, Jal, speaking of his own experiences as a child soldier, says “When people know you’ve been a soldier, they judge you: you are a thief, a lost boy.” He has some insights to share of interest in a city where violent attacks are increasingly common, too. “Knife crime and gun crime is poverty-driven, and poverty leads to insecurity,” he once said.
Jal might have added another ingredient that has contributed to the increase in crime and violence in our city – mental health problems are on the upswing, with facilities and support centers of all kinds without enough staff to take it all on.
That’s another example of what Nexim Healthcare brings to the city – increased staffing and support for overextended mental health facilities, shelters, correctional facilities and crisis centers.
