Fine jewellers and silversmiths will be showing their work at an exclusive selling exhibition held in the heart of the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside this September.
Acquire at Ampleforth is a three-day, free entry event, at Alban Roe House set within the tranquil grounds of Ampleforth Abbey from Friday 18 September to Sunday 20 September 2026.
The featured artisans have been curated by renowned fine artist jeweller Joanne Gowan, to showcase the very best of high-quality design and exquisite craftsmanship, with a focus on exceptional makers from Yorkshire and the North of England.
In addition to the boutique shopping experience, Acquire has partnered with Susan Rumfitt, the highly regarded jewellery specialist from the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow, to organise a programme of ticketed talks. These expert-led sessions will offer enthusiasts and collectors a deeper look into wider jewellery related topics including history, artistry and allure of fine jewellery.
Joanne, who lives and works in Pateley Bridge, said: “Bringing these 16 talented designers to a venue as historic and atmospheric as Ampleforth Abbey creates an unforgettable experience. It will be a unique opportunity to learn the stories behind the craft and to choose exquisite pieces.
“Visitors can plan a whole day out with Ampleforth’s excellent on-site tea rooms serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea, plenty of onsite parking and the Abbey Church to visit.”
