Vigil Inc Ltd, a Hong Kong–based cloud communication provider with over two decades of telecom experience, has announced the launch of a free version of its TravelCall Cloud Phone Suite, available for hotels, resorts, and serviced apartments.
The complimentary plan allows up to ten staff users to make and receive calls, send messages, and connect via video—all securely hosted in Vigil’s U.S.-based data centers. The initiative aims to help hotels reduce operational costs while improving guest communication and service efficiency.
“We’ve seen hotels spend thousands each year maintaining legacy PBX systems,” said a Vigil spokesperson. “TravelCall replaces that complexity with a fully cloud-based platform that connects staff and guests effortlessly, from any device.”
Built on Vigil’s VirtualGlobalPhone infrastructure, TravelCall uses encrypted SIP communication and PCI-compliant billing through Stripe. The system integrates voice, chat, and video in a single, browser-based interface, eliminating the need for physical hardware or on-premise installations.
The company emphasizes that onboarding takes minutes. Each partner hotel receives a custom QR code for guest activation, co-branded instructions, and a dedicated web dashboard to manage usage and commissions.
“TravelCall isn’t just another hotel PBX replacement—it’s a complete business communication suite,” added the spokesperson. “Our partners can connect their teams, manage guest calls, and even earn revenue whenever guests top up their international call credits.”
The solution is currently live across several properties in Southeast Asia, with Vigil offering 24/7/365 support through chat, email, and phone. The company operates from Hong Kong with infrastructure hosted at 165 Halsey Street, New York, USA—one of the world’s most reliable carrier-grade facilities.
With more travelers demanding digital-first services, Vigil expects strong adoption among small and mid-sized hotels seeking to modernize their communication systems without heavy upfront investment.
