COLERAINE - 29 August 2025

Ulster Rugby Head Coach Richie Murphy will be the special guest speaker at Coleraine Grammar Rugby Association’s annual dinner at the Golflinks Hotel in Portrush on Saturday 20 September.

He will be joined in saying a few words by Coleraine Inst, Ulster and Ireland rugby legend Andrew Trimble, and ex-Ulster and Ireland scrum-half Keiran Campbell – now the school’s first full-time Director of Rugby – before all three men take questions from what is sure to be a memorable occasion.

The event is again being organised by Coleraine Grammar’s Head of Sport, Richard Beggs, who has urged former players, partners and rugby supporters not to miss out following the huge success of last year’s inaugural gathering.

All profits will go towards boosting the continued development of rugby at ‘the School on the Hill.’

Richard commented: “We were privileged to welcome the senior Ulster Rugby squad to the school just a couple of weeks ago for an open training session.

“Richie was so impressed by what he saw that he offered to speak at our dinner, which has led to a significant spike in interest for tickets.

“Andrew Trimble was a massive draw at last year’s event, and I know he still has many more untold tales to tell.

“We are aiming for a complete sell out for an evening of great food, fun entertainment and shameless nostalgia.”

The evening will begin with drinks in The Library from 8pm before a three-course dinner in The White Pheasant at 8:30 pm.
