Surrey-based Trafalgar Structures is delighted to have won the Business Innovation award at the SME Surrey Business Awards.
Sponsored by I Need a PA, the awards are designed to celebrate the industrious, hardworking and enterprising SMEs in Surrey. Winners of 18 different categories were selected by a panel of national judges and announced at a gala evening at the Epsom Downs Racecourse.
Trafalgar Structures specialises in flexible, rapid deployment of high-quality, affordable temporary structures to create additional space for organisations in construction, manufacturing, healthcare, education, hospitality, and events. Their team has a wealth of experience and a proven track record of working with clients across Surrey, Sussex, the rest of the UK and internationally.
“I am so proud of my team at Trafalgar Structures for winning this award,” company founder and Managing Director James Morris said. “Over the past few years, innovation has driven our success. Pre-COVID, our business was mainly short-term hires. Now, we have transformed from a marquee business to a temporary space business. We have been at the forefront of our clients’ changing needs, navigating a complex post-covid world. We have delivered a huge variety of temporary space for staff canteens, teaching and exhibition space, even temporary storage for valuable medical equipment and temporary workspace for media companies during the Queen’s funeral.
Focused on agile and digital ways of working, we have introduced new tools and invested in new systems to allow us to spend more time building relationships with customers. We have also worked with local mental health charity Oakleaf to introduce a new staff wellbeing programme.

The Surrey SME award is the latest accolade for the company reinventing the events industry. Trafalgar Structures was crowned winner of the Surrey Business Awards 2021 in the Business Pivot category and recognised at the Surrey Chambers of Commerce Virtual Present’s Awards 2020 for demonstrating resilience in the face of Coronavirus.
