A leading Irish veterinary group has transformed one of its practices with an infusion of hi-tech equipment and new surgical facilities.

Following a major cash injection by parent group Linnaeus, MyVet Lucan has upgraded its facilities with an array of 21st century monitoring and surgical equipment.

The £300,000 investment includes two operating theatres with a separate scrub room, new X-ray facilities and high specification monitoring equipment.

Also included in the upgrade are high-tech surgical equipment including an arthroscopy tower and harmonic scalpel and a new sterilisation room, kitted out with Ethylene Oxide (EtO) sterilisation.

Liam Moriarty, the co-founder of My Vet, which also has clinics in Firhouse and Maynooth, said the new facilities will boost the time taken to diagnose and treat patients.

Liam said: “MyVet has continued to go from strength to strength these past few months and the addition of this new equipment will only further our growth and ability to help more pets.

“We are extremely proud of the standard of care we offer and are committed to continue investing in this area to help as many pet owners and animals in the areas we operate in.

“It’s exciting to see such a high standard of equipment in the practice and I have no doubt we will be able to use these facilities to diagnose and treat patients quicker and more efficiently going forward.”

MyVet offers pet owners an array of modern technology including up-to-date digital patient records, digital X-ray, ultrasound, dental X-ray, a laboratory and a climate-controlled hospital.

Clients also benefit from a separate cat consult room and cat ward, allowing for stress-free vet visits for feline patients. Canine companions also enjoy new and upgraded large walk-in kennels in the new dog ward.

Clients also have access to on-site parking outside the premises, allowing them a stress-free visit during consultations.
