Alongside its creation of desirable, award-winning, Tolman Edition improved modern classic cars, the UK specialist now offers a range of bespoke tuning parts and accessories in its expanded web shop. The latest is the Italian-manufactured Mille Laghi twelve-hole, two-piece, 15” wheel that pays homage to the iconic design used on 205 T16. The wheel upholds Tolman’s mantra of non-invasive engineered solutions to improve ‘modern classics’, bringing worthwhile gains in performance, usability and reliability whilst easy to revert to factory condition.
By increasing the diameter to 15”, the Mille Laghi wheel offers Peugeot 205/309 GTi enthusiasts a broader choice of high performance tyres than those available for the 14” standard rim. Through the use of 6082 T6 aluminium billet – the highest strength in the 6000 Series, and advanced simulation, the larger wheel is 20 per cent stronger, one kg lighter and more corrosion resistant than the factory rim. Precision machining of the billets makes Tolman’s wheel significantly less susceptible to vibration and creates less road noise. Alongside these performance and refinement gains, the increased diameter now fills the swollen arches of the GTi models, introducing a fitting design twist for Peugeot’s hot hatches.
Built to order, the Mille Laghi wheel will be supplied in Titanium silver as standard with other colours available. Prices start at £1200 per wheel, excluding VAT.
