The glitz and glamour of the National Television Awards (NTA) is something that Datsa Gaile from Mansfield of SolaAir Sequin Walls UK is getting used to in her business. However, when BBC Strictly Come Dancing won Best Talent Show and Anton Du Beke won the best Talent Show Judge, Datsa felt a sense of pride. It was when Ant and Dec won Best Presenters for the 21st year that Datsa reflected on what more she can offer in the future. Ant and Dec were unable to attend this year’s NTAs ceremony, after they both tested positive for COVID. On Twitter they said “Sadly, it’s true… We even get ill together! After feeling unwell a few days ago we both tested and we’re positive for Covid. However it was a “gobsmacked” Expert winner Martin Lewis who provided a speech about the energy crisis and mental health that showed a sober side to the event. In front of the red sequin set he summarised “the mood of the country” according to one Tweeter. It’s worth remembering that even high-quality sequin panels such as Datsa’s can be affordable.
