Speedway sponsorship: Paycare announces third season of support

A Wolverhampton organisation is hoping its continued sponsorship of the city’s speedway stars will help them rise to the top of the league.

With the 2023 season kicking off this month (April), Paycare has announced it’ll be supporting the Parry’s International Wolves Speedway team for a third year running.

It’s more good news for the side, who enjoyed a 56 – 34 victory in their first meeting of the season against King’s Lynn, winning 12 of the 15 races at their Monmore Green Stadium home.

This followed on from a media launch day, attended by Paycare’s Partnerships Manager Sally Bromley and Corporate Account Manager Simon Cater, where they unveiled the team hoping to rise to the top of the British Premiership this year.

The Parry’s International Wolves side includes five riders who helped them reach the play-off semi-finals last season (Sam Masters, Luke Becker, Steve Worrall, Ryan Douglas and Leon Flint) as well as familiar face Rory Schlein who’s returned to the sport after retiring two years ago, and new rider Zach Cook.

Sally said: “It was fantastic to attend the season launch event, and to get to know the team a little better, including Steve Worrall who has a busy life travelling from the North where he lives not only to Wolverhampton, but also to racing events in Poole, and Eastern Europe.

“We’re extremely proud to be sponsoring the team for a third season, and we’d encourage people to go along and support them if they can – it’s a fantastic evening out watching a sport we’re delighted our city is so strongly associated with.

“A huge congratulations to the team for their first win of the season, everyone at Paycare is cheering you on to victory!”

Paycare will be sharing competitions and news about the Wolves Speedway team throughout the season on their social media (search Paycare on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter).
