She Speaks Women-Only Events Continue to Grow Across Surrey and Beyond
Jessie Wales, Surrey-based founder of lifestyle PR agency Jessie Wales Communications, is the founder of She Speaks Supper Club, a women-only events series created to inspire, empower and connect women through meaningful conversation, shared experiences and community.
With over 20 years in the PR industry and four years running her own agency, Jessie is no stranger to the power of storytelling and connection. She Speaks was created following a candid late-night conversation with a friend about the lack of local spaces for women, particularly creatives, founders and freelancers, to connect outside of London.
“Something clicked during that conversation,” says Jessie. “I realised how much women in areas like Surrey were craving real, face-to-face connection. Not traditional networking, but proper conversations, shared stories and genuine moments.”
Since launching in September 2025, She Speaks Supper Club has become an established women-only dinner series in Surrey. The events feature curated dinners and inspirational guest speakers, including Jo Elvin, Anna Woods, Emma Guns and Rosie Nixon, in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that encourages honest conversation around work, life, creativity and ambition.
Each supper club is intentionally intimate and inclusive, where conversation flows as freely as the wine. “We bring together brilliant women from different industries and life stages to talk openly about their journeys – the highs, the lows and everything in between,” Jessie explains.
Alongside the supper club, She Speaks also hosts She Speaks After Hours, a larger, less formal ‘mingle-style’ event that attracts even more women, while retaining the same inspirational speakers and community-led ethos. These events typically welcome around 60 women and also provides a platform for up to three local, female-founded businesses to speak directly to attendees about their work. From yoga studios and beauty treatments to bakeries and wellness brands, After Hours creates meaningful connections between women-led businesses and their community.
Drawing on her extensive industry experience and contacts, Jessie curates a strong and diverse line-up of speakers for every She Speaks event, all known for their honesty, humour and deeply relatable stories.
Looking ahead, She Speaks continues to expand beyond Surrey. This summer will see the first She Speaks Supper Club retreat in Chamonix, in collaboration with Girl Powder Retreats, offering an opportunity to connect with and host women for a hike and e-bike retreat. With demand for female-only, no-agenda events continuing to grow rapidly, plans are also underway to bring She Speaks events to London later this year.
“She Speaks is about creating spaces where women feel seen, heard and supported,” says Jessie. “It’s not about pitching or performing, it’s about showing up as you are and leaving feeling uplifted.”
She Speaks is more than a supper club; it’s a growing grassroots community of women-only events focused on real-life connection in a world of digital noise.
