Routech Express, a Saudi digital logistics platform simplifying shipping for businesses and consumers, has closed a SAR 3.75 million ($1 million USD) pre-seed funding round led by Qewam Fund, with participation from angel investors. The investment will accelerate expansion across the Kingdom and support technology development as e-commerce driven demand for flexible, transparent shipping continues to surge.
The funding comes as Saudi Arabia’s freight and logistics market exceeds US$27 billion in value, while e-commerce logistics continues to grow at close to 9% annually, according to Mordor Intelligence. Yet fragmented carrier networks and limited pricing transparency continue to slow fulfillment for SMEs and consumers across the Kingdom.
The funding will be used to accelerate product development, deepen integrations with shipping partners, and expand service coverage within Saudi Arabia and to international markets.
Routech Express offers a unified platform and application that allows customers to compare shipping prices, book deliveries, make payments, and track shipments across multiple carriers through a single interface. The service is available via web and mobile app for both individual and business customers. The platform’s carrier-agnostic model and localized infrastructure give businesses and consumers access to transparent pricing and expanded coverage, particularly in underserved regions.
The company has grown monthly order volumes by 120% percent since launch and currently serves more than 430 customers and merchants. Routech Express recently placed first in the (1k mile program) under the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP), which supports innovation in industrial, mining, and logistics sectors in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
Abdullah bin Muammar, Chairman of the Board at Routech Express, said: “This investment reflects strong confidence in our model at a time when e-commerce growth and customer expectations are reshaping logistics across the region. Routech Express is building the digital infrastructure that businesses and consumers need to ship faster, more transparently, and with full control.”
Jihad Al Dawood, Chief Executive Officer of Routech Express, added: “Reaching this milestone validates our vision of making shipping simple and transparent through technology. This funding allows us to accelerate product development, expand our carrier network, and deliver the quality and coverage our customers expect as we scale across the Kingdom and beyond.”
With this funding, Routech Express plans to onboard additional carrier partners, expand coverage to underserved regions, and introduce new features designed for high-volume business shippers by Q3 2026. The company aims to support Saudi Arabia’s ambition to become a global logistics hub by digitizing last-mile and SME shipping infrastructure in line with Vision 2030.
